God is always in the business of making a name for Himself. As the song writer says “you are God all by yourself” and “there is no place for argument”
On the 8th April, 2024 the whole of North America from tourists, scientists, young and old; believers and atheists alike, from all corners of the earth stood to watch the total solar eclipse that occurs every 20years. Solar eclipse is explained as being a situation in which the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, thereby blocking the view of the Sun from a small part of Earth, totally or partially.
Millions around the world witnessed this incredible and magnificent display of the wonders of God. From behind the “special googles” provided I joined the “watch party” to see the hand of God at work, as He left the nations in wonder. While many struggle to explain event, it’s clear that no human or scientific explanation whoops take away the clear evidence of the divine manifestation of the finger of God in the work of creation.
For a brief spell of minutes and seconds there was “total” darkness in broad day light, which transitioned into a bright day.
It was an awesomely beautiful moment to behold; and as I reflected on it I said to myself, let’s do all that we know how to do; and do it well. But my conclusion is it is God who decides the times and seasons; He decides who goes up and who stays down; He determines when your night will last and when your morning will come.
So as you go this week remember that God decides on your seasons and time. Just like the solar eclipse He does not need anyone’s approval on the changing scenes of your life. Science was able to determine that it will happen every 20 years; but just like the weather forecast God can decide to bring rain when they say it will be sunshine; and God will always make a name for Himself. Don’t be a “fool” who says “there is no God” (Psalm 14:1)
