Mohamed Bangura scored twice as newcomers Banthal FC maintained their unbeaten start this season with victory against Real Republicans to move up to second in the Premier League with twelve points.

Issa Kargbo opened the scoring just before the break by a beautiful finish that went past Abubakarr Kamara as Bangura netted his brace after the interval.

The Banthal talisman is a joint-top goalscorer with three goals. He was named man of the match in that encounter. This is the Club’s sixth MOTM award, the highest so far in the league.

Real Republicans remain rock bottom with just two points, having played six, registering two draws and four losses. They host leaders Bo Rangers on Saturday at Angola Field.

In-form Banthal FC will welcome Freetonians SLIFA on Sunday at the same venue.
