Fire Disaster leaves dozens homeless at Susan’s Bay

Report gathered by this medium indicate that a fire break at Susan’s Bay community, Big Wharf in Freetown, has destroyed properties worth Millions of Leones and left hundreds of residents homeless in that community.

It was also reported that the inferno was not the first in that community as residents had experienced same last year and property worth millions also lost at the time.

Amara Dennis Kamara, one of the affected residents informed this medium that he had two make-shift buildings which have been completely burnt down.

According to him, the incident was the second he and his family have experienced in the same community.

“I have 3 big size plasma televisions, 2 freezers, foam mattress and other appliances all perished ” Mr. Kamara said.

Mariatu Kamara, another victim expressed that, she could not get access to her house as the ravaging fire had already overcome her whole building.

“I was in the market this morning when I received a distressed called from my neighbors that fire had overcome our house and they couldn’t find any way to rescue the situation”

She pleaded with the government of Sierra Leone  and  nongovernmental organizations  to come in their aid as they have be finding it very difficult to make ends meet.
