IPAM Governance &Leadership Society Gets New Executive

The Governance and Leadership Society is a student body under the department at IPAM University of Sierra Leone. The department train students to become good Administrators, Managers, Leaders and better politicians in future especially in policy formulation and policy analysis. It was established in 2018 by Students of the department for unison.

The Society first President, Keifala Mansaray, one of the Society’s founding members will be handing over to a democratically elected President, H.E Momoh Flee. The President-Elect, Mr. Momoh Flee is also one of the founding members who served as Vice President under the outgoing Leadership.The new President is a household name in students’ Politics in Sierra Leone. He was once the Student Union Government Coordinator at Eastern Polytechnic under the Ibrahim Dukuray led executive in 2014.

Also, He has served as National Secretary General Kenema District Student Union (KenDSU) under Former President, Sallu Ngombulango. Mr. Momoh Flee has once served in the National Union of Sierra Leone (NUSS) as Regional Secretary Eastern region under Former President Mohamed Sheridan Kamara and also Osman Bikal Kamara. He further served as NUSS vice President   International Affairs under Thomas Gbabai.He will be working with Madam Marie Kargbo, she will be the first female Vice President of the GLS. Madam Marie Kargbo is the current Deputy Minister of Environment under IPAM Student Union Government.

In the midst of this event, Stakeholders like the Deputy Chancellor Prof. Edmond Nuni was very impressed with the spirit of the membership towards development. The Deputy Registrar Mr. Emmanuel Momoh also advised the membership not to put National politics into their focus. The key note speaker of this occasion was the Head of Department Dr. Fullah Lamin, he applauded the membership for continuous maturity in leadership.
