Orange Complements Govt.’s Effort to Fight COVID 19

Telecommunication giant in Sierra Leone, Orange, has been working relentlessly in providing quality services to the people of Sierra Leone in providing reliable and affordable communication services in the country.

Before the outbreak of the Corona Virus in December 2019, the company has been in the lead in providing support to communities and the government of Sierra Leone.

As part of their corporate social responsibility the company donated personal equipment to constituency 128 as part of its commitment to the fight against the Corona virus in Sierra Leone. The company also donated “milla” water tanks to the constituency with physical cash for the development of the community.

During the Holy Month of Ramadan Orange dished out different cooking assorted items, such as bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, bags of sugar, onions and many more to different Mosques across the country.

In its continued effort to support the progress of the country, the company also donated mobile phones to the government health workers to make communication easier in their line of duty at different health centres in the country.

The company has also completed their fulfillment by giving free services to all government Health workers in Sierra Leone by using one of their promotional offers which is the “wanpot” package. This package combines both postpaid and prepaid features that give customers a monthly bundle for a fix price with abundant data allowance.For as low as one hundred and fifty thousand Leones (150,000), customers can have abundant voice message for local and international calls, data and SMS.

Providing reliable and affordable services to the nation is the company’s mandate to the people of Sierra Leone.

Recently the company also donated Le1 Billion to the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) by supporting the government of Sierra Leone to fight the COVID-19 in the country. The company has also provided mobile phones to the Ministry of Information and Communication as support to end the virus in the country.

Contributing to the educational sector in Sierra Leone the company has also signed an MOU with the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Certificate (MBSSC).

In their advent, the company providing free internet system and other ICT materials to school pupils in different secondary schools across the country in complementing their corporate social responsibility.  Orange Mobile Company also gave out sanitary pads and other material to school girls in different secondary schools across the country.
