Aspiring Mp for Constituency 124 Donates to Susan’s Bay Fire Victims

The aspiring candidate Aminata Sesay, for constituency 124 Member of Parliament for the All Peoples Congress (APC) Parliamentary symbol has donated food items to Susan’s Bay Fire Victims Big wharf in Freetown.

 The donated items included 5 bags of rice, a bag of onion, cartoons of tin tomatoes and other items.

Speaking to the press, Aminata Sesay said that she was called and informed by the community residents that there was a heavy fire disaster at the Susan’s Bay community Big Wharf, which had prompted her to respond to their call as well as bringing such gesture to them as relief.

Madam Sesay added that the grand total cost estimated of all the food items been bought is around 5  to 6 old Million Leones.

 According to her, she explained that indeed she is a daughter of the soil, and is familiar with the problems and challenges faced by that community and for far too long they have been faced with the same problem of fire disasters.

According to her, she expressed that she decided to vie for the APC Parliamentary symbol, because she was born and raised in a political wing and that she also wants to contribute to nation building as well as change the narrative.

According to her, for over a decade now her constituency has only been producing a Male Member of Parliament.

She continued that if she became the Member of Parliament of Constituency 124 she will create a change where his people can be boasting of living a better life and having a good water supply, good health facilities and many more.

Ishmael G. Kamara, Chairman of the Susan’s Bay community Big Wharf told journalists that he is happy about the donation been done by Aminata Sesay as she is the first person that answers to the call of the community.

Mr Kamara also expressed thanks and appreciated her effort been made to answer to the call of the community people adding that the people of Susan’s Bay community are very happy about the gesture been received.

He called on his people to be patient and advised the Agencies responsible like the National Disaster Agency (NDMA) to be careful of the people they are registering, because if there is any mistake been done he will get the feedback and that will later result to problems.

Adama Fofanah, one of the fire victims who is also one of the beneficiaries explained to journalists that she is very happy with what she had received as that was the actual time she needed such help from the aspiring honorable of Constituency 124 APC symbol.

Abdul Salam Sesay is also another beneficiary who also expressed that since the incident occured, they have never received anything as a relief but Madam Aminata Sesay was the first person that promptly responded to them.

“I have two stores mack shift building where I rent two different tenants and none of them were able to remove nothing of their home appliances from the blazing fire, which worth Millions of Leones” Mr Sesay explained.
