ORANGE MONEY OFFERS LE100 MILLION TO OKADA RIDERS

Orange Money has on Monday 9th January, 2023 doled out Le100 million (Nle100 thousand) in prize money to the winners of the Orange Money Okada Man football tournament.

The tournament which was played in December last year served as a soccer jamboree of eight teams drawn from some of the biggest parks in Freetown.

The events brought together hundreds of Okada Riders to compete against one another, with over 400 players participating in the five days’ tournament.

The top three teams have received their cheques on Friday 6th January 2023 after a brilliant display in the tournament in December last year.

The Winners of the tournament; Thunderhill Bike Riders received a whooping sup of  Le50 million, whiles the  runners up BMO United received Le30 million and National FC who finished third received the sum of Le20 million.

Martha Sumaila, the Marketing Executive staff of Orange Sierra Leone said, “I am happy with the tournament and we want to continue doing this, to empower bike riders all over the country. We want to see more bike riders using Orange Money with their passengers and it is part of the collaboration we have with the Bike Riders Union.”

The Secretary General of the National Bike Riders Union, John S.K. Banya praised Orange Money for standing by them and praised how the tournament was handled.

 “We appreciate Orange money so much for organizing such a wonderful competition and on behalf of myself and my 1 million members of this Union we want to express our gratitude to Orange for this,” he said.

According to him, he said that indeed Orange is the best network in the country and this year will be so great because we will deepen our collaboration with them (Orange)

The Secretary General concluded that for Orange Money this tournament is also one of the many ways to strengthen a youthful mass of the population in the country.
