The Sierra Leone police have denied opposition leader Dr Samura Mathew Kamara of the All Peoples Congress Party (APC) of his right to visit Kambia District.

According to report, the opposition leader’s reasons for the visit to the people of Kambia was to meet key party patrons and put structures for the forthcoming elections in 2023.

Sources say even though Dr Samura was stopped, yet still he and his team moved and consoled themselves in keeping with the law.

His visit was also championed by business people who used their resources to prepare food and drinks ahead of the visit.

Among the key APC Stakeholders that had helped to console the party supporters to respect the police’s decision were Dr. Sam Sesay, the former minister of Agriculture, former APC district chairman Amadu Town Sellar and Bai Mamud Bangura. “This has shown that the APC is always a law abiding political parties” said a party supporter.
