The Traffic Division that is directed by Assistant Superintendent of Police AIG Senesie, coordinated by superintendent Balu, has made massive improvements in the traffic sector.
According to some drivers that spoke to this medium, they said some of the ways and manners in which the traffic sector is now being handle is showing some improvement and standards in which the safety of lives and properties is well guaranteed. They furthered that they are now really facing community policing compared to as before in which police just arrest and charged them to court for no just caused.
Speaking to this medium the coordinator superintendent Balu noted that they as head of the traffic division are doing their own part, they are sensitization their officers all over the country to implement the traffic rules and regulation, they should only arrest and charge drivers who go against the rules. She called on the traffic officers to arrest whosoever is found going against traffic rules. She added that the improvement of traffic handling came after a two weeks sensations meetings with drivers and police in various parks in and out of Freetown and warns drivers who are in the habit of taking halfway, she also warns motorbike riders to avoid the CBD areas as any bike within will be arrested and charged to court.
