Minister of Youth Participates in African Human Capital Summit

The Minister of Youth Affairs, Mohamed Orman Bangura has participated in the Pretigious African Human Capital Heads of State Summit 2023 in Tanzania. The theme for this year’s summit is: “Accelerating African’s economic growth: booting youth productivity by improving learning skills.” In his speech, Mohamed Osman Bangura spoke about the investment and utilization of human capital for growth and opportunities achievements and challenges for youths across Africa.

Back home, the Minister of Youth has made some efforts to improve the lives of the youth. Very recently, youths in fishing benefited from 50 boat engines. The Ministry stated in their press release: “The Ministry of Youth Affairs through the Youth in Fisheries Project is pleased to intimate the general public that it has received funds from the Government of Sierra Leone and United Nations Development Programm (UNDP) amounting to four million six hundred and nineteen thousand eight hundred and forty Leones (NSL, 4,619,840,00) as counterpart support to procure 50 outboard engines to support 1,000 young people engaged in active fishing across 7 coastal districts of Kambia, Port Loko, Pujehun, Bonthe, Moyamba, Western Rural and Western Urban…”
