Theophilus Anderson, a technician was on Thursday 4th May 2023 sent on remand at the Correctional Centre by magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba road court No3 for an alleged $500 US dollars theft.
The accused who made his first appearance in court, was arraigned on one count charge of larceny contrary to section 2 of the larceny act 1916.
According to the charge, the accused, Anderson on Thursday 27th April 2023, in Freetown stole five hundred United States dollars equivalent to eleven thousand six hundred new Leones (Nle11,600) money belonging to one Mohamed Bangura.
After the charge was read to him, the accused pleaded not guilty. No legal representation was made on his behalf in court.
Magistrate Bangura refused him bail and adjourned the case to the 12th May 2023 . Police Chief Inspector, Francis Macauley is prosecuting the matter.
